Hi All
I'm a newcomer to Drupal and would like some recommendations for ISPs that have decent Drupal hosting environments. I have a client who for security and software reasons wants to host their site remotely [they're MS based] and I'd like a some suggestions for ISPs that people have used and found to be suitable. I'm not looking for 'specialised' drupal hosting with security updates etc. just a good solid ISP that offers LAMP servers with FTP and DBadmin access with a php configuration that makes the whole installation process as painless as possible.

Hi All
I didn't specify but I am preferably looking for local ISP recommendations if possible - not that recommendations for international ISPs are not appreciated but I'm conscious of the fact that clients can be wary of hosting internationally even thought they have no cause to be :-)

Seems like Hetzner gets the vote then - thankfully my client is already
involved with them so it won't be a hard sell - thanks for the various

For our SME projects I am a loyal supporter of Hetzner, while they
have had their issues I feel that they have a super convenient service
via their control panel, and their support teams are fast and
attentive - pricing is not bad either provided you are not looking for
local hosting with huge amounts of traffic.

Hey guys, I have used Hetzner EXTENSIVELY over the past two years, they
are really good, although one or two things to be aware of
They always have register_globals on for some reason, you need to ask
them to turn it off. There are one or two other niggly stuff too, all
them quickly solvable, but you need to ask for them to be.
Otherwise, good service.

Hi Nigel,
I am currently using www.mediatemple.com. They have big clients, decent
pricing and really good support. They are based in the US, and I have
had many times where they actually call me on the phone to solve my
issues.
They are not as cheap as some of the other offerings you can get on the
internet, but I always feel that I would rather pay a bit more for a
decent solution.
