The next Drupal Johannesburg meetup will be held on Wednesday, 8 September 2010, at The Campus (In the Ferrari room, Le Mans Building, 57 Sloane Street Bryanston). The event will start promptly at 18h30. Once again, thanks to IS Labs for the venue.
Some of the topics we'll be covering are:
- the recent DrupalCon event in Copenhagen
- a brief introduction to the Features module
- a site showcase or two (if you've worked on an interesting project in the last month, let me know and I'll give you a slot)

Sorry but a time crunch with our national launch next week coming up means that we are going to have to skip tonight's session after all. Enjoy and see everyone next time around.

Just a reminder of Wednesday's Joburg meetup at 18:30 at the Campus, Bryanston.
We're still looking for volunteers for the site showcase. Don't make me show you the site with my wedding pictures again!

I have a demo site which uses Context 3.0 and a compatible theme... Not much eyecandy yet but it does display the drag and drop feature and layout selector.
I'm not sure if this would be adequate for a showcase... So if you still need someting I will be there...

Thanks Julian - that would be great. It's good to see sites that others are working on, the challenges they've faced and how they've overcome them. Context sounds interesting too.

Looking forward to the Copenhagen update. Miffed that we couldn't go, but nou ja, such are life.
I am really excited about what's happening with Drupal 7, even though it's not even in beta yet. I assume some info would come forth out of the Copenhagen talk, but perhaps it would still be lekker to go through Drupal 7 seperately?
Features module sounds like fun. Does this include the feature server set up?
I will ask Oliver wether we can use the new Junk Mail site as a showcase.

I'll give an overview of features, why you'd want to use it and a quick demo. Probably won't go into too much detail on feature server, but will explain what it's all about.
