This month's Drupal news in South Africa:

1. The Joburg user group's February meetup is happening on Wednesday, 1 February. Note the change in venue this month - it will be happening at the Primi in Design Quarter. On the agenda is the discussion of the plan for 2012. Please sign up, so that table reservations can be made.
2. The DrupalCape's monthly meetup happens on the last Wednesday of the month. For time and venue details, keep an eye on their EventBrite page.
Site Showcases
Three new sites were added to the Showcase page since las time, one for Novo Geek, and the other two, also designed by them: Gobbo Games and Soul Wars. Increase the exposure for your Drupal sites by posting them here too.
Other News
1. There is still time to book for Drupalcon Denver, which starts March 19th. If you get the chance, an international Drupalcon is a great way to see what the Drupal community is up to.
2. The results of the Drupal surveys conducted last year have been released. There is some interesting reading there, a lot of it discussing the obstacles to increasing contributions from all members of the Drupal Community.
3. The monthly Drupal intro sessions that took place in Joburg will no longer be happening due to Springfisher's move out of Joburg. If there are other Drupal experts out there who would like to share their knowledge with the community, please contact us via the e-mail below.
Tip for the month.
When choosing a module for Drupal - it can be useful to browse by Category on DrupalModules.com. Although it takes some time - there is a good chance you'll stumble across some really cool modules that will make your life that much easier.
If you have some interesting news that you'd like to share with the rest of the South African Drupal community - we'd love to hear it - mail newsletter@drupal.co.za, and we'll include it in next month's issue.
All the best for 2012!
